Our Class Schedule for kids About our Brazilian
Jiu Jitsu Kids classes. We begin every class with a few minutes of exercise to warm up
the muscles improve stamina. Following the instructor will demonstrate
a series of techniques and the students are then given time to
practice them with one another under the watchful eye of the instructors.
The students are guided and corrected on the moves they are practicing. Next, the students are given some time to “spar” and
to try to apply the techniques learned in a “real life scenario”.
Not to worry, this is a done in a very safe environment under the
supervision of professionals. Maintaining a healthy and safe environment
for the kids is the number one priority during class. Throughout the class the kid’s receive positive reinforcement
and encouragement from the instructor and classmates. At the end of class, we usually play a game with the kids to finish
the class on a very fun note and with some extra exercise.

Back to top Mixed Martial
Arts and Kids Our kids program is mainly made of Brazilian
Jiu Jitsu, they will learn how to do takedowns, positions, submissions,
to fall properly. But we also teach the kids the basics of Muay
Thai kick boxing and boxing as well. This is important for two
reasons. First, in order to learn how to defend yourself it is also very
important to learn what your opponent may be doing against you.
If you know the mechanics and the basic principles of it and how
it works, it is much easier to counter it. Second, teaching the kids other skills that is fun to learn and
it als helps break up the routine. What kid doesn't want to learn
how to do that
Back to top Faqs on young girls
training BJJ As a kid, it is a perfect time to train Brazilian
Jiu Jitsu because they don't have that awkward teenage stage where
they might feel uncomfortable when training with the opposite sex.
One important aspect that is so often overlooked by many styles
of martial arts is the fact that women when attacked are usually
subdue and taken to ground, so ask yourself this questions; how
would only knowing how to punch and kick help you when you have
a bigger, heavier and stronger man on top of you? Brazilian Jiu
Jitsu deals with this specific question and makes it possible for
women to even the Plainfield when being attacked, giving them an
opportunity to get away and get safe. The idea is not to try to
fight back but to be able to remain safe and create an opportunity
to escape. Training BJJ as a young girl is a perfect time to learn the best
self defense that would truly help them when they become young
adults in high school, college, or life itself.
